Is it safe to place cling wrap in hot water? I will stick with second method….. the 'bermuda triangle' method.. 😁😁😁

  9. Don't you cling film, its a health hazard
U will end up in getting cancer, heated plastic are carcinogenic,

  10. It's not the inertia of the water , it's the momentum of the water keeping the egg together.

  11. My 6 year old wants to try poached eggs on toast. Thanks for the video.

  13. Nice one mate!… after many years of failure, I successfully poached my eggs well for the first time time today! Top man !

  14. Use a full bottle of extra virgin olive oil job done 👏👏 god job jamie

  15. A tip for those with low quality or older eggs is to break the egg into a sieve and discard the watery part of the egg white.

Also when you take it out the water, for god's sake use some kitchen roll to remove excess water unlike this buffoon 😂

  17. I love You Jamie! Better recipes un the world!!

  18. Easy way too cook more than one poached egg at a time. Use a frying pan, fill with water and a glug of vinegar (never add salt!) and get to boiling then simmer. Crack the eggs in it clockwise and poach for 3mins (like Jamie said) . Jobs a good ‘un! Ps: do this most days and never fails unless egg is not fresh then you get the whispy bits.

Mum asked me, a non-cook, to make poached eggs for her. Remembered that son, who is a culinary chef, show me that there's an easy how to from Jamie Oliver. First egg (in cling wrap) – wrap broke (horrors). Try again, better result. Served Mum, she didn't say "yucks", so, I guess it met her approval. Meanwhile, tried another without cling wrap. Swirled water. Even better result, just that I need to practice in doing this if I want it to look like Jamie's (I've got high hopes LOL)
